The
"Bring It Back Philly"campaign is a public education and outreach effort aimed at increasing awareness of the recyclability of plastic bags and wraps and locations where they can be conveniently recycled.
Keep Philadelphia Beautiful (KPB) is taking on this campaign to unite business, non-profits, community and government organizations around the common goal of promoting the recycling of plastic bags and wraps.
Most large supermarkets and pharmacies have set up recycling bins so everyone can return shopping bags, dry-cleaning bags, bread bags, wraps from paper towels, bathroom tissue, napkins, diapers and even the plastic bag that delivers the newspaper. Recycling these bags and wraps allows them to have a second life as new products including backyard fencing and decking, building and construction products, shopping carts, and of course, new bags.
"Bring It Back Philly" Campaign Partners

She has recorded several public services announcements and sponsored a council resolution in support of the program. In addition to Keep Philadelphia Beautiful, other campaign partners include Penn Jersey Paper Company, the Progressive Bag Affiliates of the American Chemistry Council, the Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association, Goodwill Industries and Trex Manufacturing among others.
